AT and Math

My last few posts have been about AT and how it can be incorporated into reading and the writing process. Today we are going to be looking at the influence it can have in math and how it can aide students in the learning of math and also the process of completing math computations.  While researching this topic for class I came across some pretty cool websites that could be used in the classroom as a resource for teachers and educators. The sites give great ideas on what to use in the classroom and how they should be used. The first site is GREATSCHOOL. This site is definitely something I would like to use in my future classroom.  It gives examples of different AT devices and it also links you the reader to other sites that you can use as a resource. This would be great to keep on your desktop as a quick resource, because of all of the information it contains.

Another source that I found extremely useful in this field was the WIKI for AT and math. This site was great because it was well organized and explained the material in a way that all readers can understand and relate to. It also provides examples that the reader. The examples will help the reader envision what type of device they are referring to.

My next few posts are going to pertain to this topic. Make sure to keep reading to learn more ways for AT to be used in math!
